WHAT WE ARE ABOUT
YAM is the seed syllable for the fourth chakra, the anahata chakra, located at our heart center. By chanting "YAM" (pronounced "Y-AHHH-M"), we open our hearts and minds to the mantra "I love". Anahata in Sanskrit translates to "unhurt" or "unstruck". Located at the midpoint between our upper and lower chakras, anahata integrates, fuses, and honors our individual mix of matter and spirit.
This is just what we hope to do together in our student group YAM.
Our student-taught classes are all donation based, with a suggested donation of $2/class. We endeavor to bring mindfulness and love into the awareness of all who roam College Hill.
